Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire hope in our disabled community through educational support, advocacy, and informative research, while contributing to the health and well-being of families.

How We Started

“In May 2007, shortly after my son Andrew Bristow’s car accident that resulted in a severe brain injury, Right Hand Angels was created as a local support group in Jacksonville, North Carolina. As our group grew, we realized the need for broader assistance across multiple states.

By July 2022, we transitioned into a national nonprofit organization. We owe this growth to our partners and families—without them, we wouldn’t have been able to make families across the country. #ReadyForInclusion.

Blog by Robin Totsch

Through this blog, I hope to inspire others by opening my heart and sharing the raw, honest journey of being a caregiver to a child with special needs. Every story I tell carries a piece of my soul, a reflection of the love, challenges, and deep emotions that shape this path. My son’s legacy is the heartbeat behind every word, but so too are the beautiful legacies of our families.

The strength, compassion, and resilience that have carried us through generations. Each of you play a vital role in this story of hope and perseverance, and together, we continue to build something lasting—one filled with love, purpose, and unwavering faith. For we are ready… #readyforinclusion!” – Robin Totsch
